Croagh Patrick — sea cloud from Murrisk

Sea cloud on the right flank of the Reek. The cone is clear. The path shows on the left. A strip of trees and houses sits between the mountain and the water.
Taken from the Murrisk side of Clew Bay, Westport — the same ground as the abbey and the famine memorial.
Reek Sunday still starts from here. The rest of the year the hill just stands in the weather. This is one of those days: blue over the summit, Atlantic cloud held against the slope.
